New to First Baptist Church?

A Relationship with Jesus
First Baptist Church is a family of individuals who have put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for eternal salvation. We would be thrilled to talk to you about it personally and explain what the Bible says about how you can know for sure you are on your way to Heaven. If you would like to know more, please contact us today or click on the link below.

Watch Live Services
Each service at the First Baptist Church of Hammond is streamed live, allowing you to engage with our church family and be helped by the preaching of the Word of God. During conferences and special events, all sessions held in the Main Auditorium will be streamed live. All live stream services are interpreted in ASL.

MEET THE SPEAKER
Amy Mendenhall grew up in rural middle Tennessee and married her high school sweetheart Josh. After graduating from college, Josh and Amy moved to Arkansas to serve in a new church plant, where they enjoyed starting a bus route and working in the youth ministry. She also helped start a Christian school, where she enjoyed teaching elementary students for ten years.
The Lord led Josh and Amy back to Tennessee for four years, where she continued teaching, and Josh served as the bus ministry pastor and a high school teacher.
In 2020, the Lord led the couple to Victory Baptist Church in Charleston, South Carolina, where Josh has been pastoring for five years. Together they love serving the Lord and His church. Amy assists her husband and uses her spiritual gift of teaching to teach a women’s Sunday school class, to teach elementary girls on Wednesday nights, to disciple women, and to lead Bible studies. She also loves homeschooling a couple of nieces and a nephew.
